Salary Heatmap by Levels.fyi

In case you missed it, Levels.fyi now has a salary heat map of the United States. If you’re looking to target a specific salary and location combo, this is the tool for you. At the 50th percentile you can see you’ll need to move to the west coast.

A trend that continues from issues to issue: If you want the money, you’re moving to California and Seattle.

Low Baller of the Week

This is a first. Signifyd posted a role with a target salary of $1-2 USD for a Manager of Software Engineering. WACK! I imagine they put the value as a placeholder. To me it still yells red flag, because why is putting the real salary band so difficult? Shame on you Signifyd. Who knows what other shenanigans they are going to cook up. Keep searching.
