Location based pay ain’t going away

Even though location based pay continues, San Francisco serves as the benchmark for salary band determinations in other zones. What we see is a lot different salary bands for Bay area jobs and salary markdowns as we move away from the Bay area and into other city zones.

Even in NYC, we see their salaries slightly lower than in SF. Therefore a willingness to relocate to SF could mean extra zeros at the end of your paycheck.

Weekly weirdos strike again

Ok this one is just weird, weird, weird. Our weirdo of the week is Regrello who is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend - AI Engine with 5+ years of experience. Nothing weird so far, right? However they require you to have a B.S. in CS with a 3.5+ GPA, yet they prefer you have a M.S. in CS with a 3.5+ GPA. What!?

5+ years of experience and you’re still wanting GPA requirements? That’s just odd. Lol if they’re serious, a lot of people won’t make the cut. Might as well add, must be MIT grad whose built compilers since the womb.

But you know, to each their own hiring requirements. I guessss.

Low Baller of the week

Our low baller of the week goes to Bixal who wants a Drupal developer for 79k-110k ANDDD with ability to secure security clearance. FYI, the security clearance process takes about 9-12 months! You would be better off just searching for a better job in that same time period. Oh and here’s the kicker, its onsite in Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.

Gotta be honest there isn’t much appeal here. I say keep searching, you’ll find something better my friend.

Big Baller of the week is a trifecta

Today we found a job post trifecta. A company called Limitless is looking for a Senior+ software engineer, the role is remote, and offering 250k to 350k salary! Mannnnn this is the diamond of a rough job market. Go check it out!
